Jeff Landry steps into legal fight over Trump's handling of top secret documents found at Mar-a-Lago

Attorney General Jeff Landry has stepped into Donald Trump’s legal fight with the Biden administration over Trump’s handling of classified documents after leaving office.

Landry signed on to a friend-of-the-court brief filed Tuesday by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Florida, which is handling the legal dispute. The court is considering whether the Justice Department should be able to resume a criminal investigation into classified documents seized last month at Trump’s private Florida resort, Mar-a-Lago, or whether a special master should review the thousands of documents first.

CASE DISMISSED: Victory For Parents And Their Children

LDH Official Repeals COVID Shot Mandate for School

BATON ROUGE, LA - This year, parents and guardians stood together in opposition to the COVID-19 shot being required for their children to attend school. As a result of their coming together, the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) decided to rescind the mandate for Louisiana students. As of yesterday, it has officially been repealed.

In light of this victory for parents and their children, Attorney General Jeff Landry has filed a motion to dismiss the Crews v. Edwards case, wherein he sought to have the vaccine mandate enjoined and issued the following statement:

"Today is the culmination of hard work by so many concerned parents throughout Louisiana. This is the direct result of moms, dads, grandparents, and guardians fighting for what is right. I thank Representative Raymond Crews, Health Freedom Louisiana, the Bayou Mama Bears, Town Hall Baton Rouge, Children’s Health Defense, and all those from across Louisiana that stood with us for parental choice.

Child medical decisions should be made by their guardians, not the government. I hope this health freedom victory reminds everyone what can happen when we all work together. When citizens are engaged and get involved, their government will listen."

Fauci, Jean-Pierre ordered to turn over emails in Louisiana lawsuit alleging censorship

A judge in Louisiana has ordered federal officials, including Dr. Anthony Fauci and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, to turn over emails and answer questions as a result of a lawsuit alleging a “sprawling federal censorship regime.”

In a Sept. 6 discovery order, U.S. Judge Terry Doughty of the Western District of Louisiana gave Fauci, Jean-Pierre and other officials 21 days to provide written information and emails to the plaintiffs’ attorneys. The nonprofit New Civil Liberties Alliance, Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt initiated the lawsuit.

Exclusive—Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry: Hunter’s Laptop Sets Lady Justice Ablaze

There was once a philosopher who described communication as sharing “pictures of facts.” He outlined that the role of language is to help us form the correct image in the minds of others. Without the right image, how could we possibly communicate anything of value?

That is both the blessing and the curse of our modern world.

When communication channels are open, when there is a great diversity of ideas, when claims are supported by facts, and each individual can form the correct “picture” in their minds – that is when knowledge can become power.

And that is exactly why knowledge is being controlled.

LOGA Responds to Permanent Injunction Issued on Biden Ban on New Oil And Gas Leasing

BATON ROUGE, LA (August 30, 2022) - Yesterday, U.S. District Court Judge Terry Doughty sided with Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and 12 other states in a Louisiana-led lawsuit, issuing a permanent injunction against the Biden administration’s moratorium on new oil and gas leases on federal lands and water.

In response, LOGA President Mike Moncla issued the following statement:

“This ruling is a huge win for domestic energy production in the Gulf of Mexico. The Biden administration, from the day he was sworn in, has declared war on the oil and gas industry.

Prices at the pump have skyrocketed. Our Strategic Petroleum Reserve has been depleted. We’ve slowly become less and less energy independent. Now, we can get back to being the energy powerhouse of the world.

I’m relieved to see that our system of checks and balances saw to it that Biden way overstepped his authority when banning these lease sales.

I’d like to thank Attorney General Jeff Landry for his diligent work in fighting for domestic production in the Gulf of Mexico.”

AG Jeff Landry: Protecting Louisiana Horse Racing!

Jeff Landry is champion of Louisiana values. From his support of important bayou state industries like Oil & Gas to his love of Mardi gras, our Attorney General is committed to preserving our Louisiana way of life.

That’s why when Joe Biden  swooped in and tried to regulate a Louisiana tradition like Horse Racing, Jeff Landry was quick to challenge him in court.

Just like he has throughout the entire Biden reign, Jeff took down another win against the Fed’s liberal overreach. He won a quick decision in court and a judge halted Biden’s new restrictive laws on the Louisiana Horse Racing Industry.

Landry explained the battle here:

"I am grateful Judge Doughty applied the law and blocked this federal overreach from devastating our state and the thousands of Louisianans in the horse industry here. Louisiana has not only regulated horseracing but also built an entire culture around it with the owners, trainers, jockeys, racetracks and patrons. ... The process of creating the law and its associated regulations showed a reckless disregard for the thousands of industry participants in Louisiana and a correspondingly reckless disregard for the impact to our state." - AG Jeff Landry

Like a thoroughbred storming out the gate, Jeff Landry is quick to defend our way of life and values. He is a true champion of Louisiana and we are proud to have him leading in Baton Rouge!

Attorney General Jeff Landry Endorses Congressman Clay Higgins for Re-Election

LAFAYETTE, LA – Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry today is endorsing Congressman Clay Higgins for re-election to the United States House of Representatives.

Statement by Attorney General Jeff Landry:

“Congressman Clay Higgins is an incredibly strong voice for the citizens of South Louisiana. At a time when our Nation, and our State, is experiencing an increase in violent crime, it is more important than ever to have people in elective office who understand law enforcement and the need to protect our communities. As a former law enforcement officer, I look for partners like Clay who can help articulate the need for strong law enforcement. As crime rises, we see acts committed by those who are in our nation illegally and I know Clay is a strong advocate for cracking down on illegal immigration and providing stronger border security. Clay Higgins is exactly what this State and the Country needs right now.”
