“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying: ‘Who shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.’”
That was one of Charlie’s favorite Bible verses, one he repeated often. He not only believed it, but also lived it out fully and deeply.
My husband lived that calling in so many ways: Talking to people on his show, debating students on campus, registering neighbors to vote, starting conversations with anyone he could about saving the future of our country.
Thank you for remembering my husband, for honoring the life he lived, for firmly standing alongside us, and for remaining faithful to the mission he gave his life to.
Grief does not relieve us of the calling the Lord has prepared for us.
So, we continue building. We pray for our neighbors. We pray for our enemies. We pray for our country. We fight for the future. We answer the Lord, saying, “Here I am! Send me.”
