SCALISE: Rep. Steve Scalise: Trump impeachment is a shameless Democratic abuse of power

Photo source: Wikipedia

After Democrats took the supposedly “serious” and “solemn” steps of signing two articles of impeachment against President Trump and slow-walking them to the Senate, they now cry that the Senate must subpoena new documents and witnesses – even ones Democrats didn’t call for in the House.

Democrats don’t seem to realize that they’re complaining that their own articles of impeachment are flimsy, lacking in substance, and failing to sway the American people or any objective senators.

It’s not the Senate’s job to mop up the mess created by Pelosi’s House.

White House distances itself from Pelosi plan to lower drug prices

Photo source: Piper Report

Photo source: Piper Report

The White House has been in talks with Pelosi’s office for months on drug prices, a rare shared priority, but the effort always faced tough odds given the partisan divide and the impeachment inquiry into President Trump

Now the Trump administration is downplaying the chances it will endorse Pelosi’s bill, instead pointing to a somewhat more modest bill in the Senate from Sens.Chuck Grassley(R-Iowa) andRon Wyden(D-Ore.), the chairman and ranking member, respectively, of the Senate Finance Committee.

“Lines of communication remain open with the Speaker’s office, but the Grassley-Wyden proposal is the most likely solution that could advance on a bipartisan basis and achieve the President’s priority of lowering drug prices even further for all Americans,” White House spokesman Judd Deere wrote in an email.

LAGOP: Republican Party of Louisiana Issues Statement Condemning Democrats' Secretive Impeachment Investigation

Baton Rouge, LA – Republican Party of Louisiana Executive Director Andrew Bautsch released the following statement after the RNC’s Executive Committee unanimously passed a resolution in support of President Trump and the Graham-McConnell resolution:

"These partisan closed-door impeachment proceedings deny our President the due process promised to every American. While the Democrats focus on their baseless impeachment witch hunt, Louisiana Republicans will continue to stand with President Trump because of his proven ability to deliver record-setting results for the America people."

A copy of the resolution is posted below:
RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF PRESIDENT TRUMP AND THE GRAHAM-MCCONNELL RESOLUTION DEMANDING HOUSE DEMOCRATS PROVIDE FUNDAMENTAL CONSTITUTIONAL PROTECTIONS IN THEIR IMPEACHMENT INVESTIGATION
WHEREAS, Democrats in the House of Representatives have launched a nakedly partisan impeachment investigation of President Donald J. Trump in secret and without affording a sitting President any due process protections;

WHEREAS, in an unprecedented maneuver, House Democrats have launched recklessly into this unfair, unprecedented, and undemocratic process without holding any vote;

WHEREAS, House Democrats have shut out Republican members of the House from being able to participate meaningfully in the proceedings such as by granting equal subpoena power to minority members of the Judiciary Committee;

WHEREAS, House Democrats’ partisan motives are evidenced by their selective leaking of information from the closed impeachment proceedings;

WHEREAS, House Democrats, who from the time of the President’s election have stated their desire to impeach, are trying to void 63,000,000 votes and do through this impeachment fiasco what they cannot achieve at the ballot box; and

WHEREAS, in under three years in office President Trump has amassed an unprecedented number of accomplishments strengthening the United States both at home and abroad; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Executive Committee of the Republican National Committee (RNC) now more than ever wholeheartedly supports President Trump and his administration in making America great again;

RESOLVED, that the RNC condemns House Democrats’ impeachment circus;

RESOLVED, that the RNC wholeheartedly supports both the President in his impeachment defense and congressional Republicans’ efforts to ensure fairness and due process in the face of the Democrats’ ruthless impeachment investigation, including Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham’s resolution;

RESOLVED, that the RNC calls on the House of Representatives to provide President Trump, like every other American, with due process, to include the ability to confront his accusers, call witnesses on his behalf, and have a basic understanding of the accusations against him that would form any basis for impeachment; and finally be it

RESOLVED, that the RNC calls on the House of Representatives to provide members of the minority with the ability to participate fully in all proceedings and have equal authority to issue subpoenas and other compulsory process.

Republican Party of Louisiana Releases Statements on Left-Wing Democrat Impeachment Conspiracy

Baton Rouge, LA - Today, Nancy Pelosi and other radical Democrats announced the next phase of their attempted coup against the duly elected President of the United States of America.

The LAGOP has released the following statements:

“After an embarrassing Mueller Report and several disastrous debates, democrat leaders have come to the realization they are going to lose to Donald Trump, again," said LAGOP Executive Director Andrew Bautsch. “Now they are going to team up with the media and try to take away your right to vote for him.”

“John Bel Edwards is too scared of President Trump to say anything publicly, but his actions speak louder than words,” commented LAGOP Chairman Louis Gurvich. “From acting as a superdelegate for Hillary Clinton, to refusing to outlaw sanctuary cities in Louisiana, to accusing the President of making racist comments, John Bel Edwards has been on the front lines of "The Resistance" from the beginning.”

"Honor Code" Sides with "The Squad" Rather Than President Trump

For all the BS that “Honor Code” John Bel Edwards spouts about being a moderate Democrat, this one post regarding tweets sent out by President Trump speak otherwise. Gov. Edwards has come down on the side of the anti-semites, anti-American crew of whack jobs otherwise known as “The Squad”

When November gets closer and closer, you’ll surely see him try to promote some conservative credentials. Don’t let this man fool you; he’s another liberal Democrat trying to hide in sheep’s clothing.

Trump: A Win in 2020 and Lake Charles Gets a New Bridge

In what was likely a moment of levity during his visit today, President Trump promised a new bridge on I10 for Lake Charles if he is re-elected. Or, it may have been because the motorcade had to cross that disaster. Either way, see the video below:

BATON ROUGE, LA (April 14, 2019) — The Louisiana Oil & Gas Association applauds President Donald Trump’s actions to unleash an American energy revolution on American soil.

“It’s refreshing to hear an administration celebrate the oil and gas industry and see their continued push for American energy dominance,” said Gifford Briggs, President of the Louisiana Oil & Gas Association. “The oil and gas industry has been an economic powerhouse for our country, our state, and our local communities. It is long past time Louisiana moves on from the job and investment stifling litigations and taxation policy, and unleash the true potential of Louisiana’s oil and gas industry. We thank President Trump for his visit and look forward to working alongside his administration to unleash the true potential of the American energy producer.”

About The Louisiana Oil & Gas Association

The Louisiana Oil & Gas Association was organized in 1992 to represent the independent and service sectors of the oil and gas industry in Louisiana; this representation includes exploration, production, and oilfield services. LOGA’s primary goal is to provide our industry with a working environment that will enhance the industry. President Trump Arrives in Lake Charles

HIGGINS: Welcome to Southwest Louisiana, President Trump

Photo source: The Advocate

 Congressman Clay Higgins, Special to the American Press

    Louisiana will soon welcome President Donald Trump for a visit to Sempra Energy’s Cameron LNG Export Facility. With over $100 billion in announced energy projects and $65 billion in projects already underway, Southwest Louisiana has a story worth sharing.

    Our region is home to historic economic growth and job creation as part of the LNG boom, and I am honored that President Trump recognizes Louisiana’s significance regarding American energy dominance. South Louisiana is blessed with a strategic location on the Gulf Coast that is home to vast natural resources, major ports, industrial airfields, rail and pipeline hubs, and generational skills. With critical investments in new and existing infrastructure, Southwest Louisiana can become the epicenter of national economic prosperity.

    What we are seeing is reflective of President Trump’s efforts to unleash America’s energy potential and establish an era of American energy dominance. In Calcasieu and Cameron parishes, projects like Sasol, Cheniere, Sabine Pass LNG, Driftwood LNG, Magnolia LNG, Cameron LNG, and many others are creating tens of thousands of jobs and generating billions in economic development. Southwest Louisiana is quickly becoming a global leader in energy exports.

    Historic tax cuts, regulatory reform, and an America-first business climate are driving energy projects forward. Continued economic growth in Louisiana relies on modern infrastructure and a strong workforce. I will continue to reinforce that message directly with President Trump and his Cabinet.

    We must invest in our ports, waterways, roads, and bridges. We should also invest in workforce development to ensure that local workers can meet growing job and industry demands.

    When President Trump visited Lake Charles after Hurricane Harvey, I asked him to invest in dredging and water management for South Louisiana. I looked in his eyes and stated that we’ve seen this much water fall, but we haven’t seen this much water rise. His administration followed through. The Calcasieu Channel and Port of Lake Charles have received over $194 million for dredging since 2017. That investment enables greater trade, attracts new business, and will generate more than a billion dollars in revenue over the next five years.

    On Tuesday, I will speak to President Trump about the need to continue investing in our region. This includes federal resources for our ports, waterways, airfields, and a new I-10 bridge. With strategic investments, we can unlock Southwest Louisiana’s full economic potential, which will be a major benefit to the entire nation.

    I am grateful for our Commander in Chief and for his upcoming visit. He leads from the front, and he follows through on his promises. That spirit is certainly welcome here in South Louisiana.

LAGOP: President Trump Returns to Louisiana, Supports Oil and Gas Industry

Photo source: LAGOP

Photo source: LAGOP

(Baton Rouge, LA) – President Donald Trump will get a first-hand look at the soon-to-be-opened Cameron LNG export terminal in Hackberry, Louisiana. The visit will be the President’s third trip to Louisiana since he took office in 2017, and comes just weeks after Vice President Mike Pence was in Louisiana to visit the site of one of the St. Landry Parish churches destroyed by arson.

“It is comforting to have President Trump and his administration standing with Louisiana through good times and bad,” said LAGOP Chairman Louis Gurvich. “The people of Louisiana appreciate a President who fights for them.”

During his first term, President Trump focused on unleashing American energy by cutting red-tape and eliminating burdensome regulations. The results were almost instantaneous. Last year, energy production spiked 8%from 2017, with more than half the growth being fueled by natural gas and oil.

Last month President Trump issued an Executive Order to promote energy infrastructure and economic growth. The President has set a clear example that support from the executive branch of government can be a tremendous catalyst for growth in the oil and gas industry.

Unfortunately, in Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards instead concentrated on maximizing legal fees for his campaign donors through new lawsuits against Louisiana oil and gas producers. “If the parishes don’t sue, the state will,” threatened Governor Edwards.According to the LSU Center for Energy Studies, legacy lawsuits have cost Louisiana thousands of wells and billions of dollars.

Now up for re-election, Governor Edwards has stopped talking about the lawsuits and shifted to vague talking-points and photo ops, hoping to hide his dismal economic record while taking credit for economic growth caused by President Trump.

“Governor Edwards should follow the President’s example and start supporting Louisiana’s oil and gas industry instead of extorting them with lawsuits,” commented LAGOP Executive Director Andrew Bautsch.

If We Only Had a Governor Committed to Oil and Gas

At least we have a President who’s committed to one of the greatest industries in the state of Louisiana. The following was announced today regarding President Trump visiting the Bayou State.

According to Senator Bill Cassidy, President Trump will be touring the Sempra Energy’s Cameron LNG Export Facility on May 14, 2019.

“I thank President Trump for his commitment to unleashing American energy and supporting Louisiana energy workers,” said Cassidy. “Under Republicans’ watch, we’ve seen new investment in projects from the wellhead to the export facility—bringing billions to our state and creating good-paying jobs for Louisiana workers.”

Too bad we have a governor that has done everything he could to break the back of oil and gas in this state with his trial attorney cronies.

Chris Christie: Florida Republicans Must Stand Firm Against the Bernie Sanders Agenda

It is up to Republicans to support the president and shine a bright light on the Democrats’ repeated efforts to pull America toward socialism. It is up to Republican leaders -- senators, representatives, governors -- particularly in the battleground states -- to have President Trump’s back and frame the election on the terms he defined during his State of the Union address in February:

 “Here, in the United States, we are alarmed by new calls to adopt socialism in our country. America was founded on liberty and independence -- not government coercion, domination, and control. We are born free, and we will stay free. Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country.”

LAGOP: NO COLLUSION. NO OBSTRUCTION

Republican leaders react to Mueller Report.

(Baton Rouge, LA) – Earlier today Attorney General William Barr released the findings of the Mueller Report. The Mueller Report found no collusion and no obstruction.

"This is a complete and total vindication of President Trump. It is increasingly clear that the only scandal here is the Obama administration’s repeated failure to act against Russian cyber meddling. Instead, they prioritized spying on a political opponent – the Trump campaign – and used a phony DNC-funded dossier as justification.” said RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.

After 121 Interviews/Testimonies, 53 Document Requests, and 28 hearings, the Mueller investigation cost American taxpayers $35 million over the past two years.

“Liberal leaders across the country have spent the past two years tearing our nation apart with their collusion conspiracy theories; prioritizing political points over the people they are supposed to be serving. From Nancy Pelosi to Adam Schiff to Karen Carter Peterson, Democratic Party leaders must stop chasing their tail and start working with President Trump to keep America great,” said LAGOP Executive Director, Andrew Bautsch.

State attorneys general: Donald Trump's national emergency declaration is constitutional

Photo source: USA Today

Photo source: USA Today

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry helped pen the below column regarding President Trump’s emergency declaration regarding the border:

In declaring a state of emergency pursuant to the NEA, President Trump is using pre-existing statutory authority to address a legitimate crisis created by lawless conduct at and beyond our southern border. This emergency declaration is not a case of the president relieving himself of restrictions under the law. To the contrary, our president is protecting our country’s borders through means contemplated by Congress and used many times by past presidents for matters less directly threatening than those present on the southern border.

Rep. Ralph Abraham has proposed to have Louisiana house President Trump’s Space Force:

“Should you select Louisiana as the headquarters for Space Command, you can rest assured that you will have picked a state that is open for investment and one that has unique qualities ideally suited to support Space Command’s growth and development,” Abraham wrote. “I look forward to working with you on seeing Space Command to the finish line as we take the next step in America’s rich and vibrant history of space exploration and development.”

This Is Why I Support President Trump

Photo source: Huffington Post

Photo source: Huffington Post

As much as I hate to say it, I was not a fan of President Trump when he announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for President. I thought he was a charlatan using this as a way to further his name. I must say that I was wrong.

The below video is of a hospice patient who received a phone call from our President. The short story is that his final wish was to speak to the President; his wish was fulfilled with the help of his sister, a Democrat elected official.

This shows the absolute love that this man has for the people of this country and for the office in which he holds. I firmly believe that God placed Donald J. Trump in the office of President for such a time as this.

God bless you Mr. President.
